TInnitus Evaluations

TInnitus Evaluations

Tinnitus is the term used to describe the condition of having ringing, buzzing, or noise in the ear.

Common causes of tinnitus include:

  • Stress and depression
  • Hearing loss
  • Exposure to loud noises
  • Earwax buildup or blockages
  • Abnormal bone growth in the ear
  • Meniere’s disease
  • Head or neck injuries
  • Benign tumor of the cranial nerve

There are many causes of tinnitus. The treatment for your indivdual tinnitus will depend on the condition that is causing it, the severity, any accompanying issues such as hearing loss, and the impact the tinnitus has on daily activities.

We offer tinnitus evaluations and treatment consultations to gain more information about your tinnitus and determine the best management unique to you.

Tinnitus assessments will include a comprehensive hearing test, including extended high frequency testing, along with other tests to learn more about the pitch, loudness, and ability of your tinnitus to be masked. After the testing we will have a consultation to discuss the best management options for both your tinnitus and lifestyle.

Tinnitus Treatment Plan

We offer several treatment plans depending on your tinnitus and lifestyle. These treatments include but are not limited to the following:

  • Amplification
  • Sound therapy
  • Diet and lifestyle
  • Professional resources

Please call our office today to discuss if a comprehensive hearing test or tinnitus evaluation is right for you!
